Twitority Made It.

Twitority

Folks first, excuse my french, I was just asking for a simple feature nothing else, yeah okay using the word authority was... my french. Oh and yeah, you are right number of followers is in no way a measure of any authority. I find it interesting to search through that filter and agree we need more filters, period. Ah before I forget, I never suggested it would be anything else then optional, would not force anyone to use it, I do not see what is the censorship some people talk about, or then call Google with censorship as they built their entire success on Page Rank...

Jon Wheatley just did it though, in less than 12 hours here is what he writes me:

"Since I read your post this morning about authority based twitter searches I've been frantically trying to come up with a solution with some friends. 12 hours and numerous cups of coffee later I think we've cracked it.

You can now perform authority based twitter searches at http://twitority.com

This wasn't an easy task. There are some very real limitations on the twitter API so we had to hack around it a little bit to find a way to do this. This obviously isn't an ideal solution but hopefully it will suffice until twitter implements the feature themselves."

About

Welcome to my blog. Based in San Francisco, I am an entrepreneur and a blogger. I just started my fifth startup, Seesmic, a community driven video social software. Here is what TechCrunch says about it.

I am blogging every day a video on loic.tv about (almost) everything I do as I start Seesmic, I also constantly post short thoughts to twitter and often my pictures on Flickr.

I also organize every year in Paris the conference LeWeb3 that gathers more than a thousand bloggers and entrepreneurs from 40 countries on Dec 11 and 12.

If you would like to learn more, here is a bio, my LinkedIn profile, my wikipedia pages in english and french. Sometimes they are subject to changes that do not always reflect what I consider the truth but that is the principle.

You may also want to subscribe to my RSS feeds in English, French or my video podcast feed.
