Never journalists thought that they would be outsourced and replaced by Indians, now they are also replaced by robots: Thomson Financial, a financial news company, has just acquired a robot reporter that “can crunch market data in financial reports and file a wire copy round-up with real English sentences within 0.3 seconds of a business releasing the information”. Thomson says it is so happy that it is now widening the scheme’s use.
Who told me ? A robot, Google News. And also the Financial Times with real journalists.
